Year End Escapade: City of Pines – Baguio City

Standard

It’s been on my travel list to visit Baguio City, so before 2014 ends and another year will past, I have to make it happen even for a short 3-day trip to the City of Pines. What it makes it more memorable, its my first time to visit Baguio and yes I have waited this long to visit this place. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ It’s worth the wait. They say Baguio has changed over the years and that is expected, if a place is also growing in terms of tourism and modernization. I think what makes it special is the location. Philippines is known to be a tropical country and Baguio is one of the place where the weather is colder from the rest of the cities in the country, that’s why it is also called Summer Capital of the Philippines.

My friends and I decided to have a quick trip last December, which is also a peak season in Baguio, since its a long holiday vacation, we went there right after Christmas, expecting that there were only few tourist by that time and probably most people are going back to Manila to prepare for New Year’s Eve, I guess we’re wrong, again charge to experience. ^__^ You know you’re almost there, if you start to see foggy roads, you can barely see if there are any cars coming, now I know why its dangerous to travel at night if you do not know the place but I’m getting excited already! ^__^v

Back to my happy place: Boracay 2014

Standard

Last year I was also here, I would say Boracay is my favorite place that I would always go back to. It’s like being in an island that’s is full of people but still enjoy the island life. What made this different is that I’ll be spending this vacation with my friends back in high school. This is our first time to travel outside of our comfort place since we graduated from high school andΒ  started our own careers. We planned an all girls vacation for us to bond and enjoy, since we’re all tied to our own careers. Chos! But unfortunately some wasn’t able to join us due to some commitments.. Chos! Oh well the vacation has to go on, since we have booked the tickets and booked the accommodation already, we can’t back out now. I really need this vacation to just be away from all the stress from work and just enjoy my short vacation with my girlfriends. I also wanted to push this trip since this is the first time for my friends to visit Boracay. Iwanted them to see and experience for themselves why I love Boracay.

HongKong & Macau Itinerary

Standard

I have prepared an itinerary for my trip to HongKong and I made sure that I have options incase, my first option didn’t work I have a back-up plan. I’m also weighing my options which is best approach and which option where I can save time, money and be able to see as much places with careful planning. By the way I’ll be embarking in Hong Kong and cross and disembark Macau. I know I would save a lot of money if I’m not going to spend a night in Macau, but I don’t want to distress myself in bringing my luggage to places.

Kuala Lumpur: City Day Tour

Standard

On our second day in Kuala Lumpur, we made sure to get to see as much tourist spot as possible, We started our day early, we enjoyed the hotel’s facilities and the free breakfast, then head to our first stop. Today we’ll be checking out the place with our friends who arrived last night and since today is their available day, so we checked out the spots together.

Since Petronas Tower is near the hotel, we first made a stop to the tower and since this is the first day of slambookproject and her husband, we made a quick stop and day shot with the Twin Tower of Asia.

Malaysia: Sample Itinerary and Expenses

Standard

Here is our actual itinerary for Malaysia which is limited to Kuala Lumpur only. Why? Due to limited time and we don’t have interest on the other tourist spots in Malacca and Johor Bahru, but still hoping to visit other parts of Malaysia (someday πŸ˜€ ). So here are the places that we explored in Kuala Lumpur, no pressure and just full experience of what Kuala Lumpur has to offer. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Actual Itinerary

itinerary

We made sure that we don’t commit the same mistake that we did on our last trip. Everything went smooth and according to our plan. The whole trip is “as always” tiring but I have gain new memories and experience that I will keep for a lifetime. Til my next trip πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Below is the breakdown of our expense for the 4-day stay in Malaysia we were lucky that our hotel accommodation is sponsored by a friend. We stayed at Grand Hyatt Hotel for 3-days/2 nights with breakfast and access to the hotel facilities (how lucky is that! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ :D). Our Malaysia trip wasn’t on my itinerary of the countries to visit this year, but since we got a FREE accommodation, we took the opportunity to visit Malaysia, we just make sure that we don’t overboard with our budget. Our expense doesn’t include the airfare ticket.

Singapore: Songs of the Sea

Standard

After a day spent in Universal Studios, we went to Beach Station to catch the first show of Songs of the Sea which will start around 6PM, good thing it not the most busy day and we got booked for the first screening. Ticket for the Songs of the Sea is around 12SG$, Since were early for the first screening we check out the nearby attractions around the Beach Station.

There nearest beach from the Beach Station is the Palawan Beach and did you know that the name was taken from one of the beautiful beaches in the Philippines? πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ You can also check the Tanjong Beach Β and Siloso Beach by taking the beach trams, but what really caught my attention is the iFly Singapore. This thing looks really exciting but since were on a budget, we just skip this one and probably on my next visit I will try this one hell of exciting attraction. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Sample Itinerary for Singapore Trip

Standard

Hi there, just got back from my trip to my first ever travel, SINGAPORE! Honestly, Singapore is the least country on my list that I want to go to. Although this is a fine country, they also say that traveling here is not cheap as you think. Months back I wasn’t even excited that I’d be finally be traveling outside the country, I’m not even excited to make plans on where to stay and what to see, Singapore has a lot to offer to tourist, the locale and diverse culture that has already blended on the lifestyle of Singapore, but you can still be assured that its a safe country to travel. Below is the last minute itinerary that I made, but also last minute everything has been totally changed. Whew! I can say I survived Singapore!
