Review: Reggae Mansion Kuala Lumpur

Review: Reggae Mansion Kuala Lumpur

On our recent trip in Malaysia, we had the chance to stay on a 5-star hotel which is a Grand Hyatt Hotel – Kuala Lumpur. Lucky us, that we get to stay there for 3days/2nights for FREE! (sponsored by slambookproject) But since we’ll be staying for 4 days, we have to find a place we could stay at least for 1 night. The experience at Grand Hyatt Hotel is nice and really relaxing (which I’ll be making a separate review) and it would be nice to have that same experience once in a while or in our next vacation πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ (is there anyone out there who’d be willing to sponsor? hahahha!) Am not really particular with the place I’m staying as long as we feel its safe, clean and feasible to all tourist spot.

So how did I came across with Reggae Mansion, me being meticulous of planning our trip. I’ve been searching online for the best place to stay in Kuala Lumpur and checking reviews of other travelers. I was hesitant at first, since you really have to book online either directly to them orΒ  thru booking facilities online. Since there are other hostels in Kuala Lumpur that doesn’t need any down payment, you’ll just have to reserve, and payment can be made once we arrived. But what really attracts me is their dorm type rooms and the environment so I booked online thru HostelBookers.com, which is a safe and reliable online booking for your accommodation. So booking at Reggae Mansion is CHECKED!

Singapore: Universal Studios Part2

Standard

After all that roller coaster ride, we took a break and had lunch. Since today’s schedule is jam packed we have to make the most out of Universal Studios. After our lunch at StarBot, beside is the Transformer Ride, a lot of my friends recommend to try this attraction, and I approve it to be really fun and exciting. (thumbs up! :)) What makes it different to the other rides, is that it comes with a 3D glasses (which makes it cool) so you don’t know if your in a roller coaster ride of its just our ride that makes it really realistic. Love it!

Singapore: Universal Studios Sentosa

Standard

Our day 2 in Singapore was spent in Sentosa Island. During the day we went to Universal Studios, probably for first time travelers they would really include this place to their itineraries. I’m not a fan of theme parks, but since this is like once in a lifetime experience or should I say, you can brag people that you’ve been there ehe! πŸ™‚ it would be worth to try and experience Universal Studios. We took the Sentosa Express from Harbour Center, to get to Sentosa Island, there are also other mode of transportation to get to Sentosa, but we opted to take the Sentosa Express so as to save us time. Tickets can be bought from ticket booth for 3SG$ or you can use your EZ Link card for 4SG$. If you plan to go inside the Universal Studios, tickets for a day-tour inside the theme park is 74SG$ for adults, good thing Andrew got a spare ticket and sold it to us for 70SG$ plus he gave us a express ticket for FREE! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ :). We save atleast 30SG$ for the express ticket, weeee! πŸ™‚

Your Universal Studios experience won’t be complete if you haven’t taken a picture with the iconic globe of Universal Studios.

Singapore: Photowalk along Marina Bay Sands

Standard

Right after we arrived Singapore, we went ahead to a friend’s place in Serangoon where we will be staying for 4-days. Since this day is packed and our original plan was to go to Malaysia, we hurriedly went to Andrew’s place to drop our stuff and go ahead to Aeroline Bus Terminal to catch our bus to KL Malaysia, but since we arrived late to the terminal, we weren’t able to catch our bus. I’m so pissed that I just want to rest since I haven’t sleep yet. So we just decided to go back to the place and rest. We’ll just adjust our scheduleΒ  and think of what to do so we don’t waste our first official day in Singapore.

After taking a rest, we’re good to go. We have move on from what happen earlier. We just decided to have a photo-walk at Botanical Garden but we ended up at Marina Bay Sands πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Sample Itinerary for Singapore Trip

Standard

Hi there, just got back from my trip to my first ever travel, SINGAPORE! Honestly, Singapore is the least country on my list that I want to go to. Although this is a fine country, they also say that traveling here is not cheap as you think. Months back I wasn’t even excited that I’d be finally be traveling outside the country, I’m not even excited to make plans on where to stay and what to see, Singapore has a lot to offer to tourist, the locale and diverse culture that has already blended on the lifestyle of Singapore, but you can still be assured that its a safe country to travel. Below is the last minute itinerary that I made, but also last minute everything has been totally changed. Whew! I can say I survived Singapore!

Bakasyunan Resort in Tanay with the family

Standard

The whole family went on an short overnight trip in Tanay just to get the family together and spend time to bond and enjoy each others company. My cousins made all the preparation and organize the trip, I’m just a bit disappointed since the information about the budget and other details were not clearly relayed to us. Though it was short I still enjoyed the short escape from the life in the not so city and work. I got to spend with my little nephews/nieces/god-daughter and just relax and cool off from scorching heat. Just an hour from Antipolo, Bakasyunan Resort is a new resort in Tanay where family and friends can enjoy, Β and if your company is looking for a corporate outing or even team buildings, this is the place for you. They have a lot of amenities which can be used for team buildings.

Summer is not complete without a SPLASH

Standard

This year our company hosted our company outing at Splash Island in Laguna. This is just a day tour so we have until the sunset to enjoy the place and the slides. We are all asked to meet down the lobby as early as 6:30am in the morning. This year our company outing includes family members as well, for them to enjoy Splash.

Honestly, I’m not that excited as the past company outings before (muntikan pa akong maiwan ^_^), but company outing is one way for employees to bond and distress, not thinking about work and just enjoying each others company. Since I haven’t been to Splash might as well enjoy the place for FREE courtesy of the company πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

We left Ortigas around 7:00am in the morning and arrived Splash Island around 8:30am. When we arrived there are already a lot of people, there are group of family and friends and other companies having their company outing as well.

[LATE POST] Must see… Boracay

Standard

Boracay is not “just” a place but there are “alot” of places, activities you can do explore in this island.

If you’re just a beach bum and just enjoy watching people walking here and there, watching the famous sunset of Boracay is for you. I had to walk all the way from Station 1 to 3 to feel the difference of each place. If you prefer a more quiet place you should check Station 1. This is also were the expensive hotels are. Station 2 is like the city among the 3 stations, this is where D’Mall is located, shops and restos are just everywhere. We’ll Station 3 is just too far. ☺☺☺

2nd stop from our island hopping is the Cyrstal Cove. You can check out Crystal Cove and explore their caves. You can actually fit inside this hole.

On the other side of the tunnel is a small area where you can dip and swim. The water is cool and salty πŸ™‚

There are also huts where you can have picnic.

View from Mt. Luho

You can explore Boracay either by land or by sea. You just have to be adventurous to see the beauty of this island. *winks*
