I had the most wonderful experience here, and it was also my first time to travel outside the country. I’m glad that I did stay at Bed station hostel, the place is in a good location, it’s safe and walking distance to shopping malls.
The location of the place is easy to find, so you don’t have to worry finding the place. Since I arrive early than the expected check-in time and honestly I’m not in the mood to go out because I haven’t slept yet due to the event the night before, but the staff of the hostel is very nice to offer light snack and use of lavatory which is by the way complimentary for their visitors. While waiting for time, I was browsing to my phone and checking where I can kill time, so I decided to check the mall nearby and have lunch as well.
The best way to experience Thailand is to try their food, and the first food I tried is a Korean food 😀 😀 😀 After lunch, I head back to the hostel to check-in and I’m dying to get some Zzzzz.
During booking, I already requested for all girls room and a lower bunk bed, when I got to my room I’m so happy that they did give me what I asked for and it is located on the corner with window, I like natural light during the day. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Checking-in is fast, you just have to give 100baht for secutity deposit, then they will provide you with a magnetic card for opening the room which is good for security purposes and a key to power on the light and aircon at the same time.
When I actually see the place, I fell in love it. It’s the first place where every person I met would say hello and start a small conversation. The place is really nice, cozy and simple but everyone you meet is friendly. I would usually have breakfast around 7am and usually there are only few people by that time. I would enjoy their simple breakfast but very filling. I would have toast with strawberry jam, a bowl of cereal, and a cup of coffee. They practice “CLAYGO” or CLean As You GO for all guests. It’s over breakfast, that I also met someone that I never imagine I would actually go with to explore on of the palace in Bangkok. I met Saad, who is an Arab, well I was having breakfast when he ask if he could join me over breakfast, no biggie since I don’t mind, but I did not expect that we would actually end up planning going together to one of the palaces since he has already plan his day and mine. Well, I’m actually hesitant if I would let him tag along since I don’t know him, but we’re staying on the same place, nothing could happen bad right? So there, as long as you’re open to options and it’s safe, just enjoy the day.
Basically, this place has everything you need, a nice place to stay and good crowd of guests. I would definitely stay here the next time in Bangkok. Price is just right for travelers who are on a budget.
