One of the places we visited is the Ngong Ping 360 in Lantau Island, where you’ll find the Big Buddha, a walk to the Ngong Ping Villa and up to the Big Buddha, will give you a perspective of greener part of HongKong and you feel a lot closer to nature.
How to get there: Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal is adjacent to MTR’s Tung Chung Station. It is a two-minute walk from Exit B of the station.
TIP: To avail of discounted price of tickets to some of the tourist attractions around HongKong, avail of the discounted tickets to selected guesthouses. No need to worry, tickets sold in guesthouses are accredited by HongKong tourism. Not only it’s safe, you get to save as well and you save the time of falling in line to buy tickets to the booth.
It’s our first time to try the cable car. I’m in a way excited and amaze how this type of transportation was made, the length of the cable and how it can sustain the strength of all the weight of the cabins and weight of the passengers is really amazing. A 25 minute ride going to Lantau Island is quite a ride for me, but enjoyed the view while waiting to get to our destination.
At Ngong Ping village you can check out the food stalls and souvenir shops.
