This will be a long day, since will be going to Singapore’s tourist attractions/spot, you can actually see Singapore in just one day, me being a first time to travel, I’m not quite sure of my GPS ability, so we’re just hoping to see almost every tourist spot, but good thing we met a very experienced traveler, whose been to a lot of places and survived seeing the country just by walking. Perks of going to places is meeting people and learning from them. He turned out to be our tour guide.. hehehe
TIP: If you really wanna saved money from taking trains and bus, it is important to have a MAP and learn how to use it and be prepare to walk. 😀 😀 😀
So we started early, our first stop is Little India, we took a train from Serangoon Station to Little India.
Streets in Little India is showcased vibrant colors of establishments. Indian food and Malaysian food can also be found, but we didn’t try it though. You can find a Hindu temple in this area.
You can get inside the temple, just observe silence and make sure to remove your shoes inside the temple. It is amazing how this different religion, culture and race co-exists in Singapore preserving their respective culture and beliefs.
If you keep walking, your will reach the Arab Street. I’m just not sure which street to cross or turn, we just leave it to our experienced traveler Seba to do the navigation hahaha.
Its almost time for lunch but we can’t decide what to eat, so we still continue walking and came across this street.
Around this street are small boutiques, you can shop for dresses but I doubt if the prices are competitive as of those in Bugis and Chinatown. You can enjoy the ambiance of the local street and take some pictures as well. After having lunch in a Chinese restaurant, we continue our walking day tour and went to Bugis for some shopping experience.
On our way to Bugis are towering buildings and infrastructures.
We checked out this place and bought some stuff but we keep some for later since we’re still going to Chinatown, which souvenir is much cheaper.
