Singapore: via PAL Express

Standard

So last March we bought a promo ticket for Manila to Singapore Buy 2 Take 1 from PAL Express. Even if I’m not so excited with this trip since Singapore is not my first choice to go to, we still bought the ticket. I just gave a tap on the back that this will be my stepping stone on getting that dream visa for Korea πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Since this is my first trip outside the Philippine, processing in an International flight will be slightly different, of course you can’t leave the country without your passport and that what makes it different from domestic flights.

Well I arrived Terminal 2 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport earlier than the checked-in time or let’s say much earlier. Since this is my first international flight I wanna make sure that nothing goes wrong and could anticipate any unexpected problems. Inside the airport we went to PAL Express – Singapore bound counter to get our boarding pass ticket, but of course you have to go though their standard procedure of checking the bags.

GOAL: Have my passport stamped before it even expires hahhaha! CHECK *CHEERS*

Before getting the boarding pass your have to pay a TERMINAL FEE of 550php and TRAVEL TAX of 1,620php if your leaving the Philippine airport. Once you have settle the necessary fees, you can claim your boarding pass from the ground stewardess for your boarding pass. Don’t forget to secure a disembarkation slip, you will need to submit this to the Immigration Officer. The Immigration officer ask a few question then were off to the waiting area. And the agony of waiting starts, our flight is 8:25 PM, but due to the late arrival of the aircraft to Manila from Puerto Princesa, our flight was moved to almost around 11PM. *bummer!*

the look of a bummer!

the look of a bummer!

Anyways, we have a smooth flight to Singapore but unfortunately we arrive so late from our actual arrival to Changi Airport. I finally get to see one of the best airport in the world, though its around 3AM in the morning, good thing the money changer in the airport is open and I exchange my dollars to SG’s.

TIP: If you arrive SG airport pass midnight and you have to go to your hotel and you’re not in a hurry. I would recommend that you just stay at the airport and wait until morning. Taxi fares are a bit pricey, I think they have night differential for the taxis that are on duty at night.

We took the taxiΒ  going to a friend’s place and our fare cost is around SG$16 but we paid SG$26, see how expensive their taxis are? So if your in a budget, you know what to do. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
