This year our company hosted our company outing at Splash Island in Laguna. This is just a day tour so we have until the sunset to enjoy the place and the slides. We are all asked to meet down the lobby as early as 6:30am in the morning. This year our company outing includes family members as well, for them to enjoy Splash.
Honestly, I’m not that excited as the past company outings before (muntikan pa akong maiwan ^_^), but company outing is one way for employees to bond and distress, not thinking about work and just enjoying each others company. Since I haven’t been to Splash might as well enjoy the place for FREE courtesy of the company 🙂 🙂 🙂
We left Ortigas around 7:00am in the morning and arrived Splash Island around 8:30am. When we arrived there are already a lot of people, there are group of family and friends and other companies having their company outing as well.
Before entering the waterpark, a group of men playing will greet its guests and get your booty moving.
At the entrance, all the bags of the guests are checked for foods and security as well. Its Splash policy to not bring food inside the waterpark since there are readily available stalls of food where you can buy food. You can still bring food but they have corkage fee that you have to pay, so you can still bring food if you want to.
Your stay wouldn’t be complete if you’re not going to try their slides.
I really enjoy the Magellan’s Drop and Twisted Palms, if it wasn’t for the long walk that we have to go through, I would have go back again and again. Actually, before the rides I was a bit scared because there had been news about the accidents that happened before, but I guess the waterpark made necessary safety precautions to keep the guests safe. Good thing everything went well and we had a lot of fun.
There are also other activities that you can enjoy in Splash Island, they also offer zipline and wall climbing (you can check their website for other activities you can enjoy). They also have live bands that perform inside Splash for all the guests’ entertainment.
So if you and your family is looking for a place that kids and kids at heart will enjoy, especially in this hot weather. You can visit Splash Island to cool off and unwind, just 2 hours drive from the Metro.
And as for me another fear has been conquered (hahaha! the height ng mga slides.. FEARLESS!) and check on the list of places I’ve never been.. Thanks to MEC! ^__^
P.S (some of the pictures are not mine since I did not bring my camera due to cramming and I forgot to charge my camera.)
